Acknowledgements

We are grateful to our colleagues in the Biology Department at Santa Clara University. This resource represents their vision and effort in creating an introductory biology curriculum that guides students to practice the skills needed in biology while also learning its core concepts. We hope this resource reflects their vision for the course and will reduce barriers to exploring many different topics with future introductory biology students.

We are also grateful to the many students who have helped with this project along the way. Some of the students are listed as authors here. Many others have given feedback and shared their experience with using the textbook in their studies.
