You signed up for this adventure because social justice and diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-racism (DEIA) are central to your teaching. You have sought teaching materials reflective of your inclusive viewpoints but have yet to find the perfect resource. In this section, we take a step back to frame your open educational vista. OER offers the opportunity for you to focus on teaching your discipline through an equity lens. You will view social justice and DEIA within the OER landscape and begin to root your OER in these principles.
